OD2A Project Co-Coordinator
Under the direction of the Public Health Director, the project coordinator will assist with the Overdose to Action grant program. Bachelor’s degree required. Part-time, less than 100 hours per month, Temporary Contract.
Performs tasks relating to the administrative support requirements of the agency such as office management, fiscal and budgeting, purchasing, inventory control and similar administrative responsibilities, interpretation of organizational policies and standards. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Public Health, Community Health, Accounting, Human Resource Management, Computer Science or related degree and two (2) years in administrative activities such as fiscal and budgeting activities, personnel and planning or closely related activities OR High School diploma or GED and Seven (7) years of experience in personnel activities, fiscal and budgeting activities, office management or closely related activities. Full-Time Contract.
Local Health Nurse
Provides entry-level nursing functions and services to individuals and families in a clinic or community setting. The nurse in this classification would receive job specific training in the requirements and scope of practice of the various assigned health department programs and services. Must have RN license in KY. Full-Time Contract.
COVID-19 Disease Investigator
The case investigator is responsible for contacting people with laboratory-confirmed, probable, and suspected diagnoses of COVID-19 and providing health education and guidance in order to interrupt ongoing disease transmission. The case investigator will conduct interviews with patients to gather information including symptom history, source of illness, list of close contacts, and activity history while infectious. The case investigator will provide patients with instructions for isolation and make appropriate referrals to testing, clinical services, and other essential support services, as indicated. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Full-Time, Temporary Contract.
COVID-19 Contact Tracer
The contact tracer is responsible for communicating with contacts who have been exposed to COVID-19 and providing health education and guidance to interrupt ongoing disease transmission. Dialogue with contacts will be guided by standard protocols to obtain any symptom history and other relevant health information, provide instructions for self-quarantine, and make appropriate referrals to testing, clinical services, and other essential support services. Also assists with monitoring and release of COVID-19 cases. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Full-Time, Temporary Contract.
